Answer below:


5 to 15 C = 1.41
15 to 25 C= 1.19
25 to 35 C = 1.17
Average = 1.26

For the given data, the reaction rates K2 and K1 can be taken as the increase in mass due to water uptake after 30 min.

Q1. (D) As temperature increases, % increase in mass goes down. This can be seen from the Q10 value and the % increase values also.

Q2. The Q10 values are calculated as given below:

Since the temperature interval is taken as 10 C, t2-t1 is always 10˚ C, and therefore, the equation given will be Q10 = (K2/K1).
