Your client wants to increase their endurance capacity to excel in performance. Explain to your client the similarities and differences between type I and type II fibers. Explain why they would want to optimize type I fibers for their endurance sport and what our fibers can and cannot adapt to through training (in other words, can they make a full transition from type IIB/X to I? Is there more of a subtle transition that is possible through training?). And finally, indicate the ways in which training can “mimick” type I fibers to increase aerobic capacity.
