Suppose that a patient has a failing liver and is unable to make normal levels of albumin for the blood plasma. If all other factors remain the same, what would be the effect on the amount of filtrate produced?

A.Filtrate production would remain the same.       
B.Filtrate production would increase.       
C.Filtrate production would decrease.

Since the in-coming flow and the out going flow for the albumin is nearly equal to the 1, it means the sieving cofficient for the albumin is very low i.e. 0.00062.

Since the sieving cofficient for the albumin is very low, only 3.3 gram of albumin filtered daily in human beings.

Daily production of albumin in liver is near about 20 grams per day and the total albumin in plasma is near about 125 gram.

Since only 3.3 gram of albumin is filtered out of 125 gram of albumin in kidney, there will be no any effect on the filtrate production even if the liver has failing to make normal levels of albumin for the blood plasma.
