Data can be collected in many different ways; surveys, interviews, observation, experiments and testing, or other methods. Health institutions might collect data on the number of patients who are readmitted to their facility, or how many hospital-acquired infections have occurred over the course of a year. This gives them the opportunity to see where problems exist so they can address them properly. Describe a time when you collected data; this could have been for work, school or another organization you are involved with. What was the purpose of collecting the data?
