No antibiotics help when you have some kind of infection.  Viruses have to run their course.

No because antibiotics only help with bacterial infections.  There are no cures for viruses.

they are meant for bacteria, they don't kill viruses
an antibiotic will not do you any good what so ever

You can, but I STRONGLY doubt they will work. Antibiotics only work on BACTERIAL infections. Not viral. You'd just be pumping your body with more medicine junk you don't need.

Nix the idea.

Absolutely not.  Antibiotics destroy bacteria, not viruses.  By taking antibiotics for viral infections makes it easier for any bacteria to become resistant to the antibiotics.

Absolutely not. They do nothing to stop the virus and the more you use them the less they work so they will be less effective in the future when you really need them.

Yes, if in the upper or lower respiratory tract as viral infections are usually followed by secondary bacterial infections so you take antibiotics as a prophylactic that's all

Nope. It wont help. Viral infections are from viruses. Antibiotics kill bacteria. Those are two different things. Your best bet for a Viral Infection is to let your body fight it off. But it also depends on your symptoms... What are they?

no antibiotics are for bacterial infections. antibiotics wont work for viruses bc technically viruses are not living.you need an antiviral.
