Hi,
Is the main reason that capillaries are impermeable to proteins in interstitial fluid due to the tight junctions between the capillaries endothelial cells? Or does it have something to do with osmotic/hydrostatic pressure dynamics? Thank you!!

they remain impermeable to protein not by any chemical barriers, but physical. they are impermeable because they dont have any gap junctions or any spaces in between the cells that form the capillary walls that a protein molecule could fit through.
