A new study came out showing that naked mole rats can survive with no oxygen. The article said they used fructose instead of glucose. Isn't fructose just 2 glucose molecules together?

That's impossible. Yes, glycolysis, will produce ATP in the absence of oxygen, but that's only for a very limited time. It's a stalling mechanism, if anything. Mind sharing the article?

Even if fructose is used, it doesn't make a difference.
