You are given a mixed culture containing 1.2 x 107 CFU/ml, where 40% of the culture is Escherichia coli and 60% is a Pseudomonas species. Draw a diagram that shows the dilutions needed to prepare a statistically significant PSI plate which is a bit old and will allow survival of only 70% plated bacteria. You must show all volumes and specify which organism you are quantifying. You may only prepare dilutions, not additional cultures.
