Referring to following video (around 7minute 30 seconds), I would like to know on why faster metabolism would would damage cells more in cellular level.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

My guess is that metabolites are toxic to smaller animals because they have less cells. Metabolites can be toxic if they build up, toxic in the sense that they can damage the DNA of the cell. Metabolites need to be neutralized, and our body has ways of doing that naturally. But as we age, the mechanism our body uses to neutralize such chemicals decrease in efficiency due to wear and tear as suggested by the commentator.
