In order to be considered a nuclear process, we must obey the Law of conservation of mass number. However, the reaction of a proton and antiproton releases only gamma rays with 0 rest mass hence the mass number is not conserved as the (mass of a proton + mass of antiproton) = 2u Why is this so?
