The only information that I'm given is the molar concentration   (in g/mol) of the acetic acid and the acetate
They are both 0.1g/mol

if they are in equal concentration the pH should equal the pKa which I'm pretty sure is 4.76.  the equation i used is pH=pKa+log(A-/HA)

pH=pKa + log ([H+]/[HA])

In your case, [H+] = [HA] therefore ([H+]/[HA]) = 1.

Since log 1 = 0, then pH is equal to the pKa of the conjugate acid.
