Chemistry question to do with conentration of substrates and nanomoles...
You are assaying for an enzyme's activity.
The practical protocol instructs you to add 50 ?l of a stock solution of 9 mmol l-1 enzyme substrate to 250 ?l of a 0.2 M buffer and 1.9 ml of water.
You are to start the assay by adding 50 ?l of the enzyme preparation.

(a) What is the final concentration in ?mol l-1 of enzyme substrate AFTER the enzyme has been
added?

(b) How many nano moles of substrate are there in each enzyme assay? (1 mark)

(c) If the substrate has a molecular mass of 320g, how many ?g of substrate are there in each enzyme assay?
does anyone even know how to go about doing this? even a little help is something!
really no one?
