please help me answer this question, im confused

what electrical hazard is minimized by a ground wire to the case of an appliance?

in case there is a problem in the connection of live and neutral wire, to save the user from an electric shock, the ground wire is provided. If you observe the ground wire is longer and fatter than the other two wires. Any problem in live and neutral wires can give an electric shock to the user. It is longer because it would be the first one to go in and if there is any problem, the electric current is directly grounded
