I am doing a grade 12 chemistry lab, in which we are given the Molarity of NaOH, but not that of HCl, and acetic acid. We need to figure out both through titration experiments.

the reason for rinsing out the buret with NaOH is to make sure only NaOH is in the buret. So rinsing it coats the buret with NaOH so when you add NaOH in titration you know for sure the exact molarity of your NaOH. It will not have been changed or diluted by what may have been in the buret before. When you titrate you can find the accurate molarity of HCl and HC2H3O2
