I am trying to study for the GRE. I have done a little research and found that 50% of the questions are calculus based. I have not taken calculus, but want to teach myself the basics of this subject.

I want to go over precalculus and calculus, but since I would be teaching myself, I would need a book that is easy to understand, and a workbook with a lot of problems that I can work out. Please recommend something! Thanks!

There are no calculus questions on the GRE. It includes basic algebra and geometry. Actually, for many of the questions you won't need to actually do the work; you'll just need to know if one set of answers is higher/lower/equal/more info to another set.

You should consider books from ETS, Kaplan, Barron's,  or Princeton Review. They have plenty of practice questions.

I was homeschooled all my life and the books we used were the Saxon Mathematics books.  They explain pretty well and I'm a math major now, so I'd recommend those.  Besides, Homeschooler's books are cheaper than college textbooks.
