what would happen to the development of a dividing embryonic mass if cells in the spinal ectodermal ridge were removed?

"Nothing will happen to the development of the developing embryonic mass.  Any pluripotent cell has the ability to develop into a wide range of tissues.  If cells in the apical ectodermal ridge are removed, then development of a limb would be affected."
