•   The logic of nonreactive measurement is that the people being studied are not aware of it but leave evidence of their social behaviour or actions “naturally.”
•   If people are being studied, they are not disrupted in any sort of way.
•   Three examples of nonreactive measures are: physical traces (erosion and accretion), archives (marriage records), and observation (external appearance, counting particular kinds of behaviours).
