Since clearly defined and measurable objectives have been established, it is important that results be evaluated against the plans and against past performance. Marketing control is the process of measuring and evaluating the results of marketing strategies and plans, and taking corrective action to ensure that marketing objectives are attained. For example, if marketing share objectives are not being achieved, then new marketing strategies may be considered.
