I forget how to factor cubic and quartic please help... the questions are:

x^4 - 7x^3 + 14x^2 + 2x - 20


and


5x^3 - 19x^2 + x + 1

Unless you can factor by grouping, you have to use synthetic division:


Try
x = 2 :    1  -7  14  2  -20
.................2  -10  8   20
.............1  -5    4 10   0

Since we got a zero, then (x - 2) is one of the factors. Keep going to find the others.
