Why are the baths seen as pleasure palaces?

  A) The baths, which included swimming pools, gymnasiums, gardens, libraries, theatres, and bars, fell into this category because anything your heart desired could be found there.
  B) The prostitutes that frequented the public baths earned this reputation and name.
  C) The work that was done to an ailing body through relaxation and massage left pain behind.
  D) Baths were never known as pleasure palaces.
  E) The elite of society did not frequent public baths, therefore, they applied a less than endearing name to them as a means of deterrence.
