How did public knowledge about the problems in the housing industry differ between 2007 and the years prior to 2007?

  A. The American public was well aware of the problems in the housing industry in the years prior to 2007 because housing prices had fallen so dramatically, whereas the problems became hidden in 2007 when housing prices began to rise.
  B. During the years leading up to 2007, the problems in the housing industry were well hidden by the climbing housing prices, fueled by ever-increasing debt, whereas the financial crisis of 2007 helped to shine light on these problems.
  C. During the years leading up to 2007, the problems in the housing industry were well hidden by the falling housing prices, fueled by ever-decreasing debt, whereas the financial crisis of 2007 helped to hide these problems.
  D. The American public was well aware of the problems in the housing industry in the years prior to 2007 because housing prices had risen so dramatically, whereas the problems became hidden in 2007 when housing prices began to fall.
