Title: Look at this larva that resembles an adult snake Written by: duddy on Mar 9, 2013 (https://biology-forums.com/gallery/47/4_09_03_13_2_00_14.jpeg) (https://biology-forums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=11437) This is the larva of the Hemeroplanes triptolemus moth. In its larval form it is capable of expanding its anterior body segments to give it the appearance of a snake, complete with simulated eyes. It's mimicry extends even to the point where it will harmlessly strike at potential predators. Comments: Interesting... Written by: hanuman b on Jan 14, 2017 I'm impressed!
