Title: Why do men have bigger noses than women? Written by: duddy on Nov 23, 2013 (https://biology-forums.com/gallery/47/4_23_11_13_11_59_38.jpeg) (https://biology-forums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=14347) Men’s noses are 10% larger than female's. Males generally have leaner muscles and need more oxygen for muscle growth and maintenance—and larger noses mean more oxygen can be breathed. A new study found that the difference in nose size between males and females of European descent starts showing in early puberty, when 95% of body weight gain in males comes from fat-free mass, compared to 85% in females. Comments: You've got to get into the practice of providing reference to the study :( Written by: bio_man on Mar 23, 2016 If men typically have noses 10% larger than women, it does not mean all men do, just that on average.
