Title: Here's what you get when you swallow seawater Written by: duddy on May 4, 2014 (https://biology-forums.com/gallery/47/4_04_05_14_8_01_46.jpeg) (https://biology-forums.com/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=16147) This is a single drop of seawater, magnified 25 times. The amazing image shows bacteria, worms, fish eggs, crab larva, diatoms, and much more. Think about THAT next time you swallow a mouthful of seawater. Comments: I wonder how the concentrations vary with sea depth. I'd assume a more concentrated level of plankton as depth increases. Written by: bio_man on May 9, 2014 This is not a single drop, some of these are a lot smaller than others, this is multiple shots stitched together into one frame, although they are all still found in seawater, you wouldn't see all this with just 25x magnification.
