The word negotiation describes the process of discussion between two or more parties aimed at reaching a mutually acceptable agreement. The goal of successful negotiation should be to benefit all parties involved. It is a complex activity, especially in the international context, because of differences in cultural values, lifestyles, expectations, verbal and nonverbal language, approaches to formal procedures, and problem-solving techniques. Due to the high number of stakeholders involved in international negotiations, the task becomes very complicated.
