1) Groupthink is an emphasis on group unanimity at the expense of critical thinking and sound decision making. Groups sometimes become so intent on ensuring that everyone agrees with everyone else that they lose their capacity to evaluate issues objectively.

2) Groupthink is the narrowing of thought by a group of people, leading to the perception that there is only one correct answer.
