Tyramine (4-hydroxyphenethylamine) is a naturally occurring monoamine compound and trace amine derived from the amino acid tyrosine. Tyramine acts as a catecholamine (dopamine, norepinephrine (noradrenaline), epinephrine) releasing agent.
