Throughout evolution, for example the transition or evolution from Phylum Annelida to Phylum Arthropoda, the specialization and grouping of similar body parts is called tagamosis. The resulting body parts such as cephalothorax and abdomen form two body tagma, and head thorax and abdomen are three body tagma.
