Definition for Foot-in-the-door
From Biology Forums Dictionary
The foot-in-the-door tactic involves getting someone to agree to a small request so that they are more likely to agree when you follow up later with a big request (the goal).
Example: If you ask a neighbor to get your mail while you’re on vacation, they are more likely to agree to feed and walk your dog on a subsequent vacation.
