Definition for Oculocutaneous albinism

Oculocutaneous albinism is an autosomal-recessive, not dominant, inheritance disorder. Oculocutaneous albinism causes hypopigmentation, not hyperpigmentation, of the skin, hair, and eyes as a result of an inability to synthesize melanin.
