A triangle that has an angle that's 90° or π/2 (known as the right angle). In a right triangle, the side opposite the right angle is called the hypotenuse, and the other sides are called the legs. Since the sum of the interior angles must be 180°, angles A and B must add up to 90; that is, they are complementary.
