Biological control involves battling pests with other organisms that naturally attack the pests. Use of biological control agents can reduce the harmful effects of pesticides, which include air, soil, and water pollution, which can kill or adversely affect the health of many organisms. Biological control agents can become invasive, however. They also can kill non-target native species.
