The Supercontinent Pangaea

Description
(a) The present continents are pieces of what was once a bigger, united body
called Pangaea
(b) Geologists believe that Pangaea must
have first split into two smaller supercontinents, which they call
Laurasia and Gondwana
(c) These bodies later separated
into the continents of today. Gondwana split into
Africa, South America, Australia, and Antarctica, while
Laurasia divided to become North America and Eurasia.
