"Tuscan order" is used to describe the characteristic Etruscan variation of Doric, with an unfluted shaft and simplified base, capital, and entablature.
Etruscans built rectangular temples on  a high platform, but often imbedded them within urban settings.

They were simple in form, but were embellished with dazzling displays of painting and terra-cotta sculpture.
They excelled at making huge terra-cotta figures for placement on temples.
Apollo is an example.
