Life cycle of Pisum sativum. Seeds (peas) are planted and germinate, growing into mature flowering plants. Plants selffertilize when eggs in the flower ovule are fertilized by pollen produced from anthers in the same plant. Immature seeds arise from individual fertilized eggs in the pod that forms as seeds develop. After seeds mature, they are dispersed to renew the cycle
