Underside of chimpanzee skull

Description
Chimpanzee and human skulls. Humans have a flatter face, a smaller jaw, and a proportionately larger brain. The hole for a human spinal cord (red arrow) is centered at the skull’s base, rather than toward the rear, as in chimpanzees.
