The administrators of the hospital where a licensed practical nurse works have recently announced a plan to transition from paper-based medical records to electronic health records (EHRs).

Many members of the care team support this transition, but many remain skeptical. Which of their criticisms of EHR is most valid?
  A) They need to consider the fact that it can be incredibly expensive to change to an EHR.
  B) An EHR is certainly high-tech, but it comes at a high price of decreased client safety.
  C) There's no doubt that an EHR is innovative, but there really aren't any benefits beyond that.
  D) A lot of people are predicting that the government might soon make laws to limit the transitions to an EHR.

Ans: A
Feedback:
Electronic health records have several benefits, including increased client safety, but they are often expensive to implement. EHR may be mandated by government in the near future.
