For those of you Canadians out there, I want your honest opinion on this.  Do you really think the beaver should be replaced with some other animal?  If so, which animal is it you want to see added?  This has a been a big issue lately.

I personally think that the beaver should be kept as the national animal since it has been Canada's national animal since 1975.  That's quite some time!  Smiling Face with Open Mouth

I agree, the beaver is native to North America, specifically Canada. Where there are beavers, there are forests, and Canada is famous for their various forests and trees. Although the beaver doesn't represent a fearsome animal, such as an eagle of some sort, it still represents a big part of our heritage and history that makes Canada so great.

I feel that the Moose should be considered for the Canadian national animal.  They are everywhere and are a quick reference from memory to "north, cold, winter, forests, strong, noble."  All of these exemplify Canada.
