ANS: C
Methyldopa (Aldomet) is the only antihypertensive drug that should be taken by pregnant women or women who want to become pregnant, because it does not cause fetal harm.
Pregnant woman should not take direct renin inhibitors Aliskiren (Tekturna), ACE inhibitors Lisinopril (Prinivil), or angiotensin-receptor blockers (ARBs) Valsartan (Diovan), because they cause fetal harm.
