C
Fentanyl patches should be applied every 72 hours because of the long half-life of the drug.
Fentanyl patches should not be applied when pain recurs, because the timing could be more often than the recommended regimen of every 72 hours.
Fentanyl patches should not be applied as often as every 24 hours because of the long half-life of the drug.
Fentanyl patches should not be applied once a week, because that is too long an interval between patches.
