  B. The upper portion of the bed is elevated 45 to 60 degrees to elevate the client's upper body.
  C. The bed is maintained in a level position so that client remains in level supine.

When the upper portion is raised 45 to 60 degrees, the client's position is referred to as Fowler's position.
