You are an HIM director for an acute care facility that just announced a merger with another facility. There will be changes that impact your department and you have several employees who have been expressing negative opinions about the upcoming changes. How should you respond?
 A) Explain that there are no options available to the staff about how things will change in the department, but rather everything will be done how you say it will be done.
  B) Ignore the comments that have been made in the department and know that the negativity will decrease once the employees have the time to accept the situation.
  C) Tell the employees that you aren't happy with the changes, either, and that you understand their concerns.
  D) Communicate information about how the changes will positively impact the department and provide choices for the employees to be able to participate in the decisions impacting the department.
