Stream gradient is the slope over which the stream flows, the vertical drop through which the stream
moves divided by the horizontal distance the water moves.

(Answer to question 2 )

With sheet flow, water moves in a more-or-less continuous film over the surface. With channel flow,
the runoff is confined to long, troughlike depressions.

(Answer to question 3 ) Water can be stored in lakes, snowfields, glaciers, or as groundwater.

Water changes phase from liquid to solid to vapor all within the normal range of Earth surface
temperatures.
