It's for a Bio quiz I have tomorrow.

Okay so there are these special types of proteins called enzymes. A certain type of enzyme can cut DNA at specific areas. If you find a human gene you want to make a lot of copies of you find one of these enzymes that cuts a chunk of DNA off that contains the gene of interest.

You then use this enzyme to cut the same chunk out of a plasmid. You then insert the human chunk into the open spot you just created in the plasmid. The human gene is then part of the plasmid.
