I know double layer of phospholipid is called a phosphopilid bilayer, but is phospholipid bilayer the same thing as plasma membrane or is it more accurate to say that many phospholipid bilayer attached together forms the plasma membrane?

The phospholipid bilayer is the major component of the plasma membrane, which means that you cannot say that the phospholipid bilayer is the same thing as the plasma membrane.
