calculation for Mean arterial pressure(MAP) is given by the equation above. MAP is the average pressure in the cardiac cycle. im confused with this equation linked with this definition. if diastole is concerned with 2/3 of the cardiac cycle, how this equation is derived?why isnt it the total pressure of the heart divided by 3? please explain to me someone...thank you...

I believe you have an error in your equation.  There are multiple ways to calculate MAP.  The closest version to the one you have is: 2/3DP + 1/3PP. I suggest you double check the source you got your equation from.
