One controlled experiment comparing mediation and relaxation found
 
  a. relaxation is more effective coping with stress.
  b. meditation is more effective during stress.
  c. meditation decreases distress, but relaxation is better at increasing positive moods.
  d. that they decrease distress and increase positive moods equally well.
