13. When A is changed to G in position #15, the person does not have CF.  When T is changed to C in position #14, the person has the disorder.  How could this have originated?

This change changes the amino acid that codes for ATA Rightwards Arrow UAU [mRNA] (this codes for Try). But, when we have ACA Rightwards Arrow UGU [mRNA] (this codes for Cys). Tyrosine and cysteine are totally different amino acids, thus changes the conformation of the protein (its shape).
