The earliest Homo sapiens fossils are ca. 200,000 years old. Could you use radiocarbon dating to determine the age of fossils from that period? Briefly justify your answer in the space provided below.

ANS:
No, the half-life of C14 is too short. After 200,000 years, too little C14 is left for a confident age estimate.
