While proponents of the publication of young offender’s identities argue it would increase societal protection, in fact:
a.   It is unrealistic to expect that the public would avail themselves of the information necessary to be protected from young offenders.
b.   The majority of youth crime reporting focuses on arrest data and not what happens to youth after release.
c.   Most members of the general public do not have the time, interest or inclination to inform themselves of criminal events to this degree.
d.   These arguments are premised on faulty logic.
e.   All of the above.
